What is UK P&I Club Doing About Mental Health?
The well-being of crew members has always been a priority for the UK P&I Club. In 2015, they partnered with the Sailor Society to create the Wellness at Sea program, which addresses the causes and effects of poor mental health in seafarers. The UK Club has also sponsored medical screenings and roundtable events to raise awareness of mental health issues in the shipping sector. In addition, the Club's Crew Health Department has released a number of resources, including news articles, booklets, and self-help checklists, to help crew members stay healthy and safe.
