Thomas Miller is pleased to announce they have started a three-year partnership with Career Ready, a UK charity aimed at boosting social mobility by empowering young people and enabling their talents to flourish.

Career Ready partners with employers and educators across the UK to invest in young people from diverse backgrounds. They believe every young person deserves the opportunity to enjoy a rewarding future despite the lives of too many young people being determined by background, not potential. Career Ready’s mission is to change this by connecting employers with undiscovered and diverse talent.

By working with Career Ready, we aim to offer meaningful experiences and insights that can genuinely assist young individuals in their career aspirations. It's about making a tangible difference where it counts and helping to level the playing field for young talents from diverse backgrounds."

Through Career Ready, Thomas Miller will support students through structured programmes across a series of workplace visits, mentoring, masterclasses and paid internships. Thomas Miller will help to equip young people with the knowledge, skills, experience and confidence needed to kick-start their career and fulfil their potential. 

Career Ready currently supports 2,000 young people in 240 schools and colleges, in partnership with over 370 employees and 2,200 volunteers. Their impact includes:

• 96% of alumni in full-time employment or education
• 81% of Career Ready students would consider working for their internship host in the future
• 81% of employers would hire their Career Ready intern
• 61% of Career Ready students are the first in their family to go to university
• Working in 33 out of 50 of the most disadvantaged local authorities in England

Together, the collaboration will make a transformational difference to young lives, boosting their social mobility, attainment and wellbeing.
